Biography

"Doug" has been a resident of the San Joaquin Valley since the age of 2, with the exception of a few years "out of state" on extended projects. For the past 15 years Doug has been assisting clients with their financial and estate planning needs.

Doug is devoted to lifetime learning and the on-going pursuit of excellence in the areas of estate and financial planning. He believes that it is only through the continuous upgrading of education and practices that his clients can be properly represented in these sometimes complex areas, and Doug is committed fully to maintaining a level of expertise that may provide and empower his clients with advantageous planning strategies.

As President of Legacy Financial Advisors, Inc., Doug has a B.S. degree in Business Management with a Post-graduate Certificate in Financial Planning. Doug is a CFP® Certificant with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. and also holds a CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) certification and the ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) certification.

Doug is a Registered Representative of SII Investments, and a Registered Investment Advisor Representative through SII Investments as well. Also, Doug has gained the distinction of Registered Financial Consultant (RFC) and is a member of the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants, and is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).

Doug is an accomplished public speaker and is always willing to speak to groups regarding the issues of financial, estate and retirement planning.

Legacy Financial Advisors, Inc., of which Doug is President and Founder, is a member of THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU OF THE SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY and also of the MODESTO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

Doug thinks of his clients as family and views the planning and advisory relationship as a multi-generational commitment, it being his responsibility to help protect and enhance the wealth and well-being of the client and the client's legacy as an advisor they can trust.

Doug lives in Modesto, California with his wife, Johnnie, and together they enjoy their six children and five grand children. Doug is active with his church and the community.
